I’ve always loved glow-in-the-dark items since I was a kid. The love for it never left as I got older but my tastes matured over time. I’ve searched all around for accessories that glow in the dark but also look elegant. I wanted something that represented the sea. I am a Pisces and an artist (which explains my name) so I looked for something ocean related. The task was actually very hard. It’s like no one took glow-in-the-dark accessories seriously and limited to kiddy-wear and cheap products whose glow only last for 15 minutes. (Which I am actually guilty of collecting from time to time. Still, I pined for something more exquisite and more mature.) Imagine how happy I felt when I found this shop. I felt a little sketchy at first because I was uncertain if the products would glow bright or not, plus I was a first time customer to Etsy. The merchant answered my questions about custom requests and was very nice and courteous. I also read Clover13’s shop feedbacks, which were good, and the photos of the jewelry and pendants under natural light looked beautiful enough for me to take the chance and buy more than one accessory. (I was looking for a set) Shipping was very fast, which is good since I was anxious and excited to see my purchase. I was pleased with how nicely wrapped they were in cute, yet stylish, mini bags which felt like I just received a gift. I put the jewelry under light but they didn’t seem to glow much right away and I was in a hurry to do my errands. While I was out I noticed my bracelet and necklace charm started to progressively glow brighter under the sun and the glow was subtle but noticeable when I went inside well lit shops. When I was in the shade I noticed how vibrant the caged stones were and it made me feel like I was wearing magical gems that were retrieved from an underwater kingdom. When I came back home during the evening I was pleasantly surprised. The curtains were closed, the house was dark and I saw my reflection in the bathroom mirror. I could see nothing but the icy blue orbs (Mermaid's Magic - Midnight Blue Earrings) dangling from my ears, the beaming Mermaid Magic pendant on my neck, and the bright beads of the Glowing Kryptonite - "Kaged" Charm Bracelet glowing so beautifully. I just stared at the mirror for a while, admiring their soft, yet powerful glow and the pretty silhouette design of the metal over the caged stones. I’ve never been so in love with jewelry before. I absolutely LOVE it. I can’t pick a favorite because they all complete one another. They are just so amazing. But I will say this; Mermaid Magic Ocean Blue and Neptune’s Lantern pendants are especially bright. I love it all so much. I mean, even under the light the jewelry is so pretty! Like I stated to the shop owner during check out: FINALLY, someone made something that glows in the dark and it doesn't look cheap! Oh wow, I just realized I wrote a novel. Blame my writer’s side and how much I just love this shop. I plan to buy from Clover13 again in the future and I hope to see more different styles of creative jewelry from this shop!
